Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Shop Floor Manager to oversee a dynamic team of Supervisors and Trainees. This role is based in a newly renovated, modern supermarket that stands out as a premier destination for quality fresh foods. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in shop floor operations, particularly in a high-volume or big-box retail environment, and demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and performance-driven skills.

Package & Benefits
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: 36,000 45,000 DOE
Benefits: Pension scheme

Ideal Candidate for this Senior Shop Floor Manager

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain excellent store standards.
• Proven business acumen, including experience in driving sales, managing P&L, and controlling costs.
• Extensive grocery or fresh food experience in retail, supermarkets, catering, or food service environments.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings and evenings.

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Shop Floor Manager

• Oversee day-to-day shop floor operations, ensuring the store runs efficiently and maintains the highest standards.
• Act as a Duty Manager, taking responsibility for designated departments to drive sales, profitability, and product availability.
• Manage supplier relationships, pricing strategies, and stock control to reduce waste and optimise efficiency.
• Lead, supervise, and develop a motivated team, ensuring excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, increase footfall, and boost retention.
