Salary 40,000 - 45,000 DOE

My client is a highly successful and well-established convenience forecourt group with multiple locations across Leinster. This is a well-regarded and forward-thinking retail brand known for its strong operational policies and commitment to best practices, ensuring consistent performance and a healthy work environment.

The store itself is a compact yet well-equipped convenience outlet, modern spec, staffed by a dedicated team of up to 15 skilled employees, including a busy and successful deli counter that would account for almost 50% of their trade. With a strong emphasis on fresh food and customer service, the store is a vibrant part of the local lunch trade.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced big box Duty Manager or Assistant Manager from a larger retail environment who is ready to take the next step and manage their own store. You'll gain valuable experience in back-office operations, strengthen your leadership skills, and take pride in the success of the store under your guidance.

43 hour contract, including bonus, staff discount, VHI scheme, pension, and more.

Salary and bonus up to 45,000 including co phone.

Responsibilities for this Retail Store Manager Job:

  • Ensure the site runs efficiently and smoothly.
  • Ensuring the store reaches maximum profitability, sales and achieves other financial objectives like controlling waste, shrink, labour
  • Ensuring your team demonstrates excellent standards in merchandising, customer service, and hygiene that reflect well on the group's reputation
  • Managing all HR, H&S related queries, ensuring your retail shop is compliant with all these matters.

Requirements for this Retail Store Manager Job:

  • Must be a proven and experienced Retail Grocery Manager or Assistant Manager in a similar retail food environment ready to step up, our client might consider a proven management background in Catering if a similar structure to their store.
  • Excellent organisation and leadership skills are a must, must possess the ability to lead and motivate teams under them, such as deli chargehands, Assistant Managers, and Supervisors and other senior staff.
  • Commercially astute, looking for opportunities to increase revenue by knowing the retail landscape, and managing costs effectively, and using your supplier network to your advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Labour Law, Health & Safety regulations, HACCP, and Consumer Law
