Store Manager Cork

Our client is seeking a competent retail leader, to manage a modern dynamic medium-sized supermarket store, operating with a healthy turnover in excess 15 million yearly  and employing over 80 personnel between colleagues and management.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fresh food operations, particularly in a high-volume or big-box retail environment, and demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and performance-driven skills.

Package & Benefits

Contract: Full-time, 43 hours per week

Salary: 70,000-75,000 DOE, pension and bonus.

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, by making decisive business decisions, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Fresh Food Expertise: Extensive experience in fresh food retail, and supermarkets, with a deep understanding of food safety, quality control, and stock management.
• Business & Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in driving sales, managing P&L, controlling costs, and optimising margins within fresh food departments.
• Operational Excellence: Strong attention to detail, ensuring the highest standards in product presentation, stock rotation, waste management, and overall store hygiene.
• Organisational & Multitasking Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain operational efficiency in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Adaptability & Flexibility: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, typically mornings, occasional evenings, and Sundays, to support business needs.
