Senior Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android software engineer to join teams that creates food delivery B2B2C products for corporate and consumers settings. You will work closely with BE, DevOps, Mobile and Web dev Teams to build end to end high scalability solutions for tens of millions of users across the US. The client products include food delivery for Hotels, Colleges, Hospitals, Corporate Headquarters and other locations. You will join a team of Senior engineers that build products end to end and gain experience working on cutting edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Build highly scalable & reliable additions to the platform
• You'll deliver, deploy, and monitor the performance of your applications and the platform as a whole
• You'll evaluate tools, technologies, frameworks, and vendors for the platform along with other senior team members
• You'll write performant and concise code, review the code of peers, and ensure security and scalability of the features you work on
• Writing tested, performant software solutions
• Working both solo and in squads to design, plan, implement, integrate and validate solutions to real problems
• Cross collaboration within the different product, design and engineering teams. 
• Partnering up with 3rd party vendors to introduce new solutions our users will enjoy.
• Owning your code and product features from conception to deployment and beyond.
• Supporting what you build - our engineers keep close to their deliverables

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on professional experience in native Android development (Kotlin, with a focus on scaling a core, production-grade application.
• Proven track record of designing and scaling robust mobile architectures using Clean Architecture and MVVM.
  
• Deep expertise in RxJava and RxKotlin for reactive programming (experience transitioning to or working alongside Coroutines/Flow is a strong plus).
• Thorough understanding of the Android SDK, application lifecycle, Jetpack components
• Hands-on experience with dependency injection frameworks (Dagger).
• Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
• Experience with modern Git branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and publishing/monitoring the app on the Google Play Store.
