HGV Driver - Technical Distribution (Glasgow)

Blue Recruitment Personnel is seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver with hands-on experience in technical distribution to join a growing logistics and relocation team in Glasgow.

This is not just a driving role we need someone who understands the care and attention required when transporting sensitive and high-value equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate HGV vehicles (C or C1 licence) to transport technical equipment across the UK.
• Load, secure and unload specialist cargo with precision and care.
• Installation, re-site and collection of Photocopiers and printing and imaging equipment
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure safe handling, positioning, and installation of equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicle roadworthiness and compliance with transport regulations.
• Navigate routes efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries with minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV license (C or C1)
• CPC certification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven experience in technical or specialist distribution photocopiers, vending machines, servers, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and an understanding of the care required for high-value or sensitive equipment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and, occasionally, work flexible hours to meet delivery schedules.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working within a data centre or office relocations.
• IT handling knowledge.
