About the job Partner: New Business
A well-established and nationally recognised logistics solutions provider is seeking a driven and commercially astute New Business Partner to join their team in Port Elizabeth.
This role is focused on achieving and exceeding sales targets through proactive business development, strategic client engagement, and solution-based selling within the logistics and road freight sector.
Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities while ensuring alignment with pricing strategies and operational capabilities. This is a target-driven role suited to a strong hunter profile.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics/road freight market

Develop a deep understanding of potential clients operations and propose value-driven solutions

Negotiate rates in line with company pricing strategies

Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets

Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting

Support onboarding of new clients to ensure smooth transition
Stakeholder & Relationship Management

Build strong working relationships with Operations, Customer Service and Regional teams

Ensure service alignment with client requirements and SLAs
-
Contribute to strategic account growth initiatives
Commercial & Strategic Input

Provide feedback to management on market trends, pricing, risks and opportunities

Contribute to business review processes and strategic planning
-
Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity
Compliance & Governance

Adhere to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements

Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, including pharmaceutical handling where applicable
Minimum Requirements
Mid-Level Profile (Port Elizabeth requirement):

Grade 12 (essential)

2–3 years sales experience in logistics / road freight (essential)

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills

Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint)
Advantageous:

Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field
