Field Service Technician Commissioning
Responsibilities
- 
Represent The Company on-site as a team member or leader
 - 
Collaborate with internal departments for seamless commissioning
 - 
Oversee on-site commissioning post-installation
 - 
Manage testing and successful handover to customers
 - 
Complete testing procedures and documentation
 - 
Prepare and present technical reports post-project
 - 
Execute commissioning activities:
- 
Start-up, verification, and hardware optimization
 - 
Calibration/testing of inverter drives (up to 1 MW)
 - 
PLC software system debugging
 - 
Handover/performance testing
 - 
Provide training and support to customer personnel
 
 - 
 
Field Service Responsibilities
- 
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems
 - 
Conduct routine maintenance and software updates
 - 
Respond to customer calls and breakdowns
 - 
Ensure compliance with company standards and safety
 - 
Maintain service records and customer interaction logs
 - 
Act as liaison with customers for product improvement feedback
 - 
Mentor junior technicians
 - 
Evaluate and improve service protocols
 
Education
- 
Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Degree / NQF7
 - 
Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Diploma / NQF6
 - 
Specified: Technical skills in industrial automation, drive systems, and HV equipment
 
Experience
- 
4-5 Years
 - 
Minimum 5 years in commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of large industrial systems
 - Port Equipment experience
 
Computer Skills
- 
PLC programming knowledge
 - 
Variable speed drives (Siemens, ABB, or equivalent)
