Minimum Requirements:

  • Matriculation.
  • 2 years of estimates experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in freight forwarding for air, road, and sea cargo.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather essential information to commit to provided rates and maintain meticulous documentation in our Quotation System for seamless continuity during colleagues' absence.
  • Respond to customer quotation requests within specified timeframes, encompassing:
    Offering guidance on transportation logistics (operations, contingencies, insurances, customs, routing).
  • Reviewing routing provided by MO when necessary.
    Verifying customer eligibility for special rates and adhering to agreed charges.
  • Skillfully negotiating rates.
    Executing quotation creation.
    Ensuring quotation profitability.
    Setting validity and incorporating terms and conditions.
    Implement quotation reminders to enhance rates and business acquisition.
  • After quote acceptance, provide a clear handover to the Operations Department, including buying rates, selling rates (quotation), and correspondence with third parties or networks (if required).
  • Offer customer feedback to the middle office for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain rate validity with customers.
  • Facilitate the transition of "walk-in customers" to the Customer Services Support Team for growth and development.
  • Directly interact with customers through telephone or electronic means.
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to address inquiries effectively.
  • Negotiate rates and compile estimates based on project or shipment requirements.
  • Assess the feasibility of business, negotiate rates, plan the scope of work, and present tenders to clients.
  • Plan, negotiate rates, and provide quotes for projects.
  • Ensure the accuracy and profitability of all submitted quotations.
  • Base quotation negotiations on both service quality and cost.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.
  • Facilitate seamless handovers of shipments to internal departments.
  • Maintain regular communication with the network.
  • Negotiate rates with nominated and approved third parties upon client and network requests.
  • Manage general administrative tasks.
  • Assist the Commercial Department in keeping the quotation module updated.
  • Ensure smooth handovers to operations for new and existing business.
  • Cultivate positive customer relationships to deliver an efficient and satisfying experience.
