Business Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification such as a B.Com or Marketing degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in industries such as insurance, credit, loans, bill payments, fintech, tech products, or banking.
- A strong understanding of transactional banking products and the ability to generate revenue from them.
- Experience in the payments sector is a plus.
- Previous experience in a debit/credit card product environment is essential.
- Familiarity with the National Payments Systems.
- Experience in stock forecasting/management for tech products within financial services is advantageous.
- Proficient in product management, including financials, business case development, project management, and analysis.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office or G-Suite, with a focus on Excel or Google Sheets.
- Project management experience is desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple partners, stakeholders, and relationships effectively.
- Strong financial reporting, business case drafting, and numerical analysis skills.
- Competencies: Attention to detail, reliability, planning, support creation, situational awareness, drive, adaptability, and stress resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve financial targets for the fiscal year.
- Develop business cases to enhance the product portfolio.
- Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure all processes and products adhere to regulations.
- Negotiate agreements and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Work closely with the Legal team on new and existing contracts.
- Partner with the Marketing department to create impactful campaigns.
- Lead project management efforts, ensuring all projects are delivered within agreed timelines and in coordination with stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed on time.
- Continuously negotiate and secure new products and services with partners.
- Drive continuous improvement and growth within the product portfolio.
