Project Engineer( Intern ) 

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE - ESSENTIAL:

  1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE DESIRABLE:

  1. Legal Liability Training
  2. Incident Investigation
  3. Risk Assessment Training
  4. First Aid Training
  5. Fire Fighting Training
  6. Root Cause Analysis Technique

EXPERIENCE - ESSENTIAL:

  1. Not required

EXPERIENCE - DESIRABLE:

  1. Vacation work in the heavy lift industry

SKILLS - ESSENTIAL:

  1. Design and Engineering drawings using AutoCAD
  2. Report Writing
  3. Intermediate Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook

SKILLS DESIRABLE:

  1. Advanced Excel
  2. AutoDesk Inventor (3D Modeling)
  3. Clear understanding of the relevant equipment and its use
  4. Finite Element Analysis

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Attend kick-off meetings with Commercial and Operational teams to establish the clients / stakeholders exact requirements
  2. Attend site visits to measure and record specific information, including route details, and ensure that this information is incorporated into the RAMS
  3. Create and Review Engineering Drawings and Calculations
  4. Create and Review Risk Assessments
  5. Create and Review Method Statements
  6. Create and Review Equipment lists
  7. Create and Review Project files
  8. Create and Review Route Surveys
  9. Report writing
  10. Ensure engineering documents comply with company procedures, legislative guidance, and good practice
  11. Ensure approved engineering documents are filed correctly and distributed to the needed stakeholders
  12. Provide technical support to the company site supervisor and respond to issues on-site in a professional and timely manner
  13. Complete daily admin tasks accurately:
  • Timesheets
  • Engineering Document Register
  • Filing of Engineering work in the correct position
  1. Capture HSQE observations
  2. Attend close-out meetings with Commercial and Operational teams to establish if the stakeholders expectations were met and to identify lessons learned which can be applied to the next project
