Specialist: Data Analyst

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• 1 - 2 years experience in a similar environment
  
• Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas [NQF Level 07] in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business performance
• Use advanced statistical techniques and data mining methodologies to support business decisions
• Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to present findings to senior management and stakeholders
• Develop visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to effectively communicate complex data insights
• Conduct detailed analysis to identify key process and potential areas for
  streamlining/automation
• Work closely with finance, underwriting, claims, and other departments to gather data and understand business needs
• Partner with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data infrastructure supports analytical needs
• Support strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations
• Participate in cross-functional projects to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall business performance
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data analytics, cost management, and the insurance industry
• Experiment with new methodologies and tools to enhance analytical capabilities and business impact
