Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or relevant equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years Marketing experience with a focus on marketing communications in a corporate environment preferably in the ICT Sector
  • Experience in managing marketing communications and business process improvement.
  • Experience in a senior technical/management position

Responsibilities:

Strategy Development

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of the Companies current communications landscape across all operating companies (internal communications, customer communications, public relations, investor relations and social media)
  • Develop and implement a communications strategy that will deliver on the key business objectives
  • Develop strategic paid media plan to support and boost earned media presence
  • Oversee and allocate the annual communications budget and ensure its use is fully maximised
  • Use communications technology to boost productivity

Media Relations work with the appointed PR agency to:

  • Develop and manage relationships with key media players to secure and grow earned media online and offline coverage
  • Craft and distribute press releases and media pitches
  • Coordinate and manage media interviews and inquiries
  • Identify, pitch and leverage speaking opportunities
  • Clean-up and maintain press portals across third party sites
  • Maintain press portal on Company Website

Investor Relations - work with the appointed PR agency to:

  • Support investor relations team with the execution of all external communications required this includes but is not limited to (key message development, Q&A development, executive coaching, managing press tour etc.)

Content Creation and management:

  • Create and maintain content calendar for internal communications, customer communications, public relations, investor relations and social media
  • Maintain corporate collateral and proof points across the group using our in-house design and writing resources
  • Manage the development of compelling content for the various channels using our in-house design and writing resources
  • Ensure content aligns with the overall communications strategy and brand messaging

Social Media Management - work with the appointed PR agency to:

  • Provide community management across all of Company channels
  • Leverage in-house shared service ensure all content is scheduled for publication
  • Monitor activity and consult on opportunities and ways to engage with communities
  • Create and manage executive profiling across 10 x executives for the Group this includes a monthly content calendar crafted for the executive in line with Group content strategy

Crisis Management - work with the appointed PR agency to

  • Develop a crisis communication plan
  • Provide real-time support and guidance during crises

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate regular reports on PR campaign performance
  • Analyse data and provide insights for continuous improvement
