About the job TLB Operator
Excellent opportunity exists for a Qualified and Experienced TLB Operator.
Requirements :
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate
- Strong track record and proof of operating a TLB
- Have compliance papers and medical certificate
- Must have at least 2 years of experience (within a mining industry would be advantageous)
- Must have a Valid TLB Certificate
- National Drivers license code 10
Duties:
- Planning for work activities and prepare work area
- Surface mine plant operators control heavy-duty equipment such as excavators and dump trucks, often involving a high level of spatial awareness, to excavate, load and transport ore, raw mineral including sand, stone and clay and overburden at quarries and surface mines
- Starting and shutting down backhoe/loader
- Operating backhoe/loader. Transporting backhoe/loader to and from site
- Carry out pre-start checks of the Front End Loader and any other item of plant you are required to operate
- Operate /drive Front End Loader properly and safely to suit the individual job conditions
- Ensure safety of other team members and the public in accordance with the legislative requirements
- Set out all necessary work signs as per the appropriate Traffic Control Plan
- Report any fault/damage/problem with the Loader or other plant to the Plant Foreman
- Carry out routine services and minor repairs to the Loader and other items of plant in consultation with the Workshop Personnel
- Keep a diary of record of jobs, quantities, any other plant used and record on weekly timesheet, private work forms, requisitions/orders and stores issue dockets
- Keep Loader in a clean and tidy state
- Undertake various labouring duties
- When entering any Mine, carry out an initial Worksite Inspection and record daily in your copy of the Mine Inspection Checklist
- Operate loader or truck in a Mine in a safe manner
- Ensure proper advance warning signs are erected to an appropriate plan
- Ensure all staff are wearing safety vests
- Note any other jobsite problem you encounter and inform the Works Supervisor as soon as practicable
