Job Description:

Work within an existing platform engineering squad to deliver a next-level platform experience for multiple product teams running business critical services Drive innovation and evolve and lead cloud native platform architecture, implementing new features and capabilities across multiple enterprise customers Collaborate with cross-functional customer teams to understand project requirements and develop appropriate solutions. Implement best practices for containerization, orchestration, and microservices architecture. Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure only the best Kubernetes platform experiences are delivered to consuming teams Document solutions, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing.

Skills Requirements:

  • Extensive Kubernetes and experience, architecting, implementing and operationalising Kubernetes in production environments 
  • Preference given to fluency with the OpenShift ecosystem, but proven experience across other Kubernetes flavours will be accepted 
  • Experience in building CI pipelines, containerizing, securing and deploying applications and GitOps based continuous delivery 
  • Passion for automating away toil and building mature cloud native platforms 
  • Can grok new tech stacks rapidly 
  • Great communicator, enjoy working remotely within a team and solving complex problem

Experience: 

  • Kubernetes (4+ years of experience), across any of the following: OpenShift Rancher Tanzu AKS EKS GKE 
  • Preference for experience with any of the following technologies GitLab GitHub / Actions Jenkins ArgoCD Flux Prometheus/Grafana Elastic

Certifications:

  • Were not super sticky on these. Real world, production experience trumps all: 
  • CKA/CKAD/CKSS Red Hat Certified Engineer Red Hat Certified 
  • OpenShift Administrator 
  • Red Hat Certified 
  • OpenShift Application Developer 
  • SUSE Certified Deployment Specialist in Rancher 
  • VMware Certified Professional - Application Modernization 
  • Azure Certified DevOps Engineer 
  • AWS DevOps Engineer 
  • Google Cloud Engineer
