Account Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelors Degree or similar.
  • 3 years account or general administration experience preferably in a FMCG environment.
  • 5+ years supply chain experience.

Responsibilities:

Set Customer Strategy

  • Set strategy for the designated area of responsibility based on company and customer objectives.
  • Obtain sign-off across the business on the strategy.
  • Implement key KPIs in line with the strategy.

Relationship Management

  • Set key KPIs for customers in line with business strategy.
  • Review customer KPIs monthly to ensure customer and Company compliance with key KPIs.
  • Drive opportunities to build strategic partnerships through the identification of collaboration opportunities.
  • Manage internal business functions against agreed KPIs.
  • Manage customer queries and concerns as they arise.

Business Development

  • Identify opportunities for expansion within the area of responsibility.
  • Match Company business capabilities to customers needs by identifying service solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Team to guide commercial discussions and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Implement rate reviews and increases as needed to ensure the profitability of the area of responsibility.
