Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Business Management Diploma or similar (advantageous).
  • 3 years relevant work experience in a sales environment.
  • Financial and Merchant service experience (advantageous).

Responsibilities:

  • Drive pipeline stage targets to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets of the Company Cash Advance and other ancillary products, within the pricing parameters set.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and prospects on a continuous basis to maximize sales.
  • Use calls, marketing material and automated nurturing to achieve front of mind position with prospects, keep on top of follow ups and keep the pipe clean.
  • Monitor trends in the market and with prospects, to bring insights to management and the sales team.
  • Either prospect from the MC CRM system or receive customer applications that are generated via internal channels and treat efficiently and with respect.
  • Explain the product and qualifying criteria and understand clients needs to pitch the value proposition appropriately.
  • Screen company financial viability, manage expectations, obtain credit related documents from the prospect, and follow all administrative process requirements.
  • Decline or prepare quotation (Price, Deal Value) based on credit info and insight at this stage of the sales process. 
  • Ensure that all agreed objectives and expectations with the prospect are achieved.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of the credit pack for presentation to the Underwriting department, summarizing the following:
  • Details of credit application, including details of reference checks and investigation into the personal characteristics of the applicant.
  • Assessment of Company statements and bank statements of credit applicant.
  • Summarize probing questions to clients on transactions and behaviours.
  • Recommendation to credit on price, term, and value of the deal.
  • To maintain and update the CRM System (Sales Force) accurately and timeously including:
  • Loading of relevant fields for new and existing client.
  • Ensure follow ups and details per interaction are recorded.
