Qualifications and Requirements:
- Matric
- Min 3 years experience in sales environment in all transport modes (air, sea, road, and rail) is essential. Strong knowledge of all verticals
- Good interpersonal skills and presentation skills
- Results-oriented and astute negotiator
- Must be confident and assertive
- Computer literacy required, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to put together Tenders in response to Client Requirements
- Must have a sense of urgency and be able to handle extreme pressure. Be able to meet strict deadlines.
- Thick-skinned and able to handle and convert rejection
- The ability to manage and identify problems affecting customers and provide constructive feedback and solutions
- Proven track record in dealing with customers on a high level
- Valid drivers license and valid passport
Job Function:
- Promote and create awareness of The Company in the market
- Secure/Sign new business which has never been handled by The Company before
- Competencies and skills to sell across all verticals/industries
- Contribute to The Company revenue targets through selling, participation in planning and strategy development. Drive revenue growth and expand market share
- Develop presentations and client-specific sales material
- Attend to client quotations and follow up on agreed rates/services and sales leads
- Develop and manage joint sales campaigns with The Company global offices and other partners
- Arrange and set monthly joint sales and service calls with local The Company Management support and as and when required for national and international visitors
- Prepare and submit monthly sales report
- Share advisory notices with clients as changes occur in the market
- Hold weekly Branch sales meetings with relevant Managers/The Company staff to present progress on sales, opportunities, pipeline, and strategy to close new business
- Support finance where payments are not made on time on specific accounts
- Attend and secure leads at conferences, industry conventions, etc.
- Any other delegated tasks deemed reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager
