A leading technology services organisation is seeking a hands-on IT Engineer to provide technical support, infrastructure assistance, and end-user support within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

This role is ideal for a technically strong and service-oriented IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting users, and working across a broad range of technologies in a dynamic support environment.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for delivering front-line IT support while ensuring stable, secure, and efficient technology operations across the business.

The role combines technical troubleshooting, user support, systems administration, and operational support within a collaborative IT services environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for IT-related incidents and support requests
  • Providing hands-on support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues both remotely and onsite
  • Escalating complex incidents appropriately while ensuring resolution follow-through

Infrastructure & User Support

  • Supporting end-user devices, systems, and enterprise connectivity
  • Managing user accounts, access rights, and permissions in line with security protocols
  • Assisting with system reliability, backups, and operational continuity
  • Supporting IT standards, policies, and best practices across the organisation

Asset & Vendor Management

  • Maintaining accurate records of IT assets, inventory, repairs, and support activities
  • Coordinating with vendors for repairs, replacements, and specialist technical support
  • Assisting with equipment lifecycle management and operational readiness

Operational & Service Delivery Support

  • Supporting fast-paced operational and business environments
  • Monitoring backups and performing regular validation testing
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer-focused support delivery
  • Supporting business continuity and technical reliability initiatives

Travel & Onsite Support

  • Travelling to client or business sites where required
  • Providing onsite support and technical assistance across multiple locations
  • Supporting users directly within operational environments

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Key Requirements

  • Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • A+ and N+ certifications advantageous
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and support capability
  • Experience supporting hardware, software, and connectivity environments
  • Strong understanding of customer-focused IT support principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment

Advantageous Skills

  • Exposure to managed services or enterprise support environments
  • Experience working within shift-based or 24/7 support operations
  • Understanding of backup management and operational support processes
