HEAD OF BUSINESS ENABLEMENT (GEN-AI) - Contract position

A leading organisation is seeking a Head of Business Enablement to drive the adoption and value realisation of Generative AI across the enterprise.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and managing a business-facing enablement capability, ensuring effective adoption of Gen-AI solutions while aligning business demand with technology delivery.

THE ROLE

You will lead a Gen-AI enablement function, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring demand is effectively prioritised, delivered, and translated into measurable business value.

Key responsibilities include:

Service Ownership & Leadership

  • Owning the end-to-end business enablement operating model
  • Leading and managing the enablement team across business units
  • Ensuring service continuity, onboarding, and knowledge management
  • Driving a delivery culture focused on practical outcomes and adoption

Stakeholder Management & Engagement

  • Acting as the primary interface between business and technology leadership
  • Leading governance forums, including operational reviews and steering sessions
  • Providing transparent communication on delivery progress, adoption, and value
  • Influencing stakeholders across executive and operational levels

Demand Intake, Triage & Prioritisation

  • Owning the intake and prioritisation of Gen-AI-related demand
  • Translating business needs into clear problem statements and delivery backlogs
  • Distinguishing between tactical enablement and strategic platform initiatives
  • Ensuring visibility and tracking across all demand pipelines

Orchestration with Technology Teams

  • Acting as the translation layer between business and engineering teams
  • Overseeing structured escalation of complex requirements
  • Tracking delivery progress and ensuring alignment between stakeholders
  • Supporting delivery through clear articulation of value, risks, and dependencies

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensuring compliance with organisational governance, security, and data policies
  • Maintaining risk, issue, and decision logs
  • Ensuring all enablement artefacts are auditable and stored appropriately

Performance, Reporting & Value Realisation

  • Defining and managing SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Producing operational and executive-level reporting
  • Tracking adoption, throughput, reuse, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Driving continuous improvement based on data and insights

Mobilisation & Transition

  • Leading onboarding, tooling setup, and initial operating model deployment
  • Driving early delivery of enablement assets (templates, playbooks, tools)
  • Ensuring structured knowledge transfer and sustainable handover

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in business enablement, transformation, or adoption-led roles
  • Experience leading operating models within complex organisations
  • Strong stakeholder management at executive level
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in delivery-focused environments
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Generative AI concepts and enterprise adoption
    • Business-to-technology translation and solutioning
    • Governance, reporting, and performance frameworks
  • Experience working in fast-paced, outcome-driven environments
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills

Advantageous:

  • Experience within financial services or regulated industries
  • Exposure to managed service delivery models
  • Experience working within Centre of Excellence (CoE) environments
