We're placing an Accounts Payable Officer for a well-established Australian real estate and property management firm based in Sydney. Working fully remote from the Philippines on Australian business hours, you'll manage accounts payable across a portfolio of managed properties — processing invoices, validating bills, and preparing payment runs for the trust accountant twice a week.

This is a long-term, permanent role with a professional Australian firm. You'll work with autonomy once you're up to speed, build real depth in Australian property finance operations, and grow with a business that values accuracy and reliability above everything else.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OFFICER

Responsibilities as an Accounts Payable Officer:

  • Monitor shared mailboxes and process incoming invoices for managed properties
  • Upload and validate invoices in property management software — correct property, correct amount, correct chart of accounts, correct GST treatment
  • Ensure all invoices are uploaded within 48 hours of receipt and mailboxes cleared by end of each business day
  • Prepare EFT and BPAY payment batches twice per week for trust accountant approval
  • Collate approved bills and submit payment files for processing
  • Liaise with property managers on invoice approvals and queries


Qualifications as an Accounts Payable Officer:

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience — processing invoices and payment runs as your primary responsibility
  • Experience using property management software to process accounts payable
  • Understanding of Australian GST — how to identify whether it applies to an invoice
  • Strong attention to detail — accuracy on every upload, every time
  • Clear written English — daily communication with property managers
  • Available full-time on Australian business hours, Monday to Friday
  • Reliable internet and dedicated home workspace


Highly Valued:

  • Experience with Re-Leased specifically
  • Background in Australian real estate or property management AP
  • Experience processing invoices for properties managed on behalf of external owners
  • Familiarity with EFT and BPAY payment processing for Australian clients
