About the Role
BoomTech is seeking a Technical Alignment Manager (TAM) to serve as the evangelist of standards and best practices for our clients. This is not just another Tier 2 support role. As a TAM, you will spend four days a week onsite with clients from Palm Beach to Miami and one day collaborating with the team in our Boca Raton office.
Your mission: audit, align, and optimize client environments against industry best practices. You'll ensure our clients' IT systems are secure, scalable, and proactive, not reactive. This is a role for a technical professional who thrives on building relationships, loves digging into best practices, and doesn't mind windshield time between clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Alignment & Standards
- Conduct recurring technical assessments of client environments using BoomTech's alignment framework.
- Identify gaps in best practices and create clear remediation roadmaps.
- Evangelize standards and explain alignment benefits in terms that clients can understand.
- Technical Troubleshooting & Guidance
- Resolve Level 2 issues onsite, remotely, and via phone.
- Collaborate with clients to optimize their Microsoft network and security stack.
- Work closely with our Service Desk, Projects, and vCIO teams to ensure holistic IT success.
- Documentation & Process Discipline
- Maintain impeccable documentation of all assessments and remediation efforts in our systems.
- Drive reduction of reactive service hours by proactively identifying and resolving risks.
- Follow BoomTech SOPs and contribute to continual process improvement.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in IT (MSP experience strongly preferred).
- Technical Expertise:
- Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows 10/11, Server 2019/2022.
- Strong networking fundamentals (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Confident with ticketing/documentation systems.
- Professional Traits:
- An exceptional communicator can simplify technical issues for non-technical users.
- Skilled relationship builder with a client-first mindset.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-managed.
- Strong business awareness understands how technology impacts operations.
- Logistics: Valid driver's license, reliable car, and willingness to drive extensively across South Florida.
