Employment Adviser
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Walsall to assist with the appointment of an Employment Adviser, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £18.35 - £24.34 per hour
Summary:
The Employment Adviser role involves delivering tailored advice, guidance, and employability support while working collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and local employers to achieve positive outcomes and key performance targets.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality employment advice, guidance, and support to individuals facing barriers to work
- Manage a caseload of clients, providing regular contact and tailored action plans
- Support clients with CV writing, job applications, interview preparation, and job search activities
- Organise and deliver group sessions, workshops, job clubs, and outreach activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, training providers, and partner organisations
- Monitor and track client progress, ensuring achievement of KPIs and positive outcomes
Qualification:
- Educated to a Level 4 or above in CIAG (careers information, advice and guidance) or equivalent level of qualification or experience within the fields of CIAG, welfare to work, regeneration, social work, teaching or similar.
Essentials:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with individuals facing multiple barriers to employment
- Knowledge of local labour market trends and employment support programmes
- Ability to deliver both one-to-one and group support sessions

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
