We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newport to assist with the appointment of a Refuse Loader, on a 7-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.85 - £16.57 per hour

Summary:

We are seeking reliable and physically fit Refuse Loaders to provide cover for annual leave and sickness within the waste and environmental services team. The role involves supporting refuse collection operations, loading waste materials, and helping to maintain clean and safe local environments.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and load household and commercial waste onto refuse vehicles
• Work as part of a refuse collection crew
• Assist drivers and team members during daily collection routes
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of waste materials
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and vehicles

Essential Requirements:

• Physically fit and able to undertake manual labour duties
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Understanding of Health & Safety practices
