We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Greenwich to assist with the appointment of an Electrician, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £25.44 - £31.94 per hour

Summary:

To undertake a wide range of skilled electrical works in domestic properties, ensuring all jobs comply with current QCC requirements. The postholder will maintain accurate records of work and materials used, operate testing equipment, and ensure all works are delivered safely, effectively, and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a full range of professional electrical skills across all Building Services contracts.
• Carry out repairs, installations, and certification of completed work in compliance with NICEIC (or equivalent).
• Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment, ensuring calibration and appropriate emergency action where needed.
• Work from engineering drawings and ensure compliance with standards.
• Supervise and train apprentices, trainees, or work experience placements.

Requirements:

• Recognised qualifications to hold Electrician status (including City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Test Certification).
• Proven experience of electrical repair, installation, and testing in domestic properties.
• Strong knowledge of NICEIC certification and related regulations.
• Ability to supervise, train, and support apprentices or less experienced staff.
• Competence in using IT systems and handheld technology.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and procedures, including asbestos awareness.
• Full driving licence and ability to operate/maintain vehicles as required.
