Construction Supervisor
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside with local authority in North Yorkshire to assist with the appointment of a Construction Supervisor on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.02- £26.64 per hour
Summary:
NYH Property, operating in partnership with North Yorkshire Council, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Supervisor to oversee the successful delivery of planned maintenance projects across a diverse portfolio of public and commercial properties throughout North Yorkshire.The ideal candidate will supervise multi-trade teams on site, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, schedule, and budget. This role blends public sector values with a commercial approach and requires strong leadership, comprehensive knowledge of multiple trades, and a commitment to rigorous health and safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of construction and highways maintenance activities across various sites.
- Be the primary person responsible for ensuring and enforcing strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations on site.
- Line manage operatives, including setting daily tasks, monitoring performance, and actively supporting their professional development.
- Act as the primary liaison with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Lead and actively participate in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) meetings to ensure effective planning and collaboration.
Essentials:
- Proven, hands-on experience working across multiple trades in a property maintenance or construction environment.
- SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card, First Aid at Work, CITB MAP H&S Test
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel in North Yorkshire

- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
