Rate of Pay: £26.07- £34.43 per hour

Summary:

The Disrepair Works Manager is a Works Manager with strong surveying capabilities who reports directly to the Disrepair Manager. The post holder will utilize their excellent technical knowledge and inter-personal skills to ensure that planned repairs, particularly those arising from disrepair claims, are delivered to a high standard of quality. The role is focused on the practical delivery, quality assurance, compliance monitoring, and financial control of repairs carried out by contractors

Responsibilities:

• Attend sites with the contractor to scope works following the receipt of a Scott schedule.
• Conduct pre, during, and post inspections of properties to ensure quality from contractors.
• Ensure H&S procedures and policies are followed by the contractor whilst delivering the repair service
• Monitor and control compliance and quality assurance
• Authorise payments and expenditure in accordance with delegated authority.
• Use data systems to check quotes against SORS (Schedule of Rates) and approve variations

Essentials:

• Extensive experience supervising contractors for social housing
• Up-to-date understanding of health and safety responsibilities of a maintenance service
• IOSH Managing Safely
• An understanding of employment law, policies, and systems such as H&S and QA systems

• This role requires  Basic DBS
