Communications Business Partner

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Walsall to assist with the appointment of a Communications Business Partner, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £22.70 - £28.83 per hour

Summary:

The  Communications Business Partner role requires a skilled communications professional with strong media relations experience, excellent writing skills, and the ability to develop and deliver creative communication and marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of key Council communication campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain proactive media relations to promote Council services, projects, and achievements.
  • Handle media enquiries and manage sensitive communications issues.
  • Create engaging content across a variety of communication channels and marketing platforms.
  • Plan, organise, and deliver press launches, promotional events, and media opportunities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns and provide performance insights.

Qualification:

  • Degree or professional qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Essentials:

  • Significant experience in a communications, media relations, or public relations role.
  • Proven experience developing, delivering, and evaluating communication and marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality content for a range of audiences.
  • Strong media handling experience, including responding to enquiries and managing media issues.
  • Experience organising press events, promotional activities, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
