 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottingham Community Housing Association to assist with the appointment of a Children's Worker, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.76 - £17.90 per hour

Summary:

The Childrens Worker will play a vital role in supporting tenants and their children by organising and delivering a safe, stimulating, and engaging programme of activities for children aged 016. The postholder will provide practical and emotional support to families, promote positive development, and ensure that all services are delivered in line with NCHAs principles, values, and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify training and development needs for colleagues in relation to childrens services.
  • Maintain accurate childrens records and administer required systems effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of quality systems for childrens services and support budget decisions.
  • Attend safeguarding and child-in-need meetings where required, ensuring compliance with all child protection policies.

Essentials:

  • Qualified to, or working towards, Level 3 NVQ in Childcare/Play, NNEB, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience working in childcare or play work, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of child protection legislation, Social Services procedures, and good practice in relation to children.
  • Experience working with diverse tenant groups and understanding their needs.

  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
