Careline Telecare Installation Review Officer

 Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Careline Telecare Installation Review Officer, on a 1.5 -month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £21.00 - £27.68 per hour

Summary:

The Careline Telecare Installation Review Officer is responsible for installing, demonstrating, and reviewing community alarms and telecare equipment to support elderly, disabled, and vulnerable residents. The role ensures the delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective social alarm response service that promotes dignity, safety, and wellbeing. Postholders will assess customer needs, recommend and implement appropriate telecare solutions, and provide technical support and training to users, colleagues, and partner professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, demonstrate, program, and test community alarms and telecare sensors (including advanced equipment such as epilepsy and property exit sensors).
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, manufacturers instructions, and Council policies.
  • Retrieve, prepare, and manage equipment stock when no longer required.
  • Register new customers on the Careline Telecare system and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct proactive reviews of customer living situations and signpost to relevant agencies or services.

Practical knowledge:

  • Practical knowledge across multiple disciplines: electrical, telecoms, IT (hardware/software), and assistive technology.
  • Ability to fault-find and provide technical support.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in IT systems for service delivery and record-keeping.

Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and explain telecare systems and sensors.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals and understanding their support needs.
  • Proven ability to assess customer needs and identify appropriate telecare solutions.
  • Experience liaising effectively with professionals, agencies, and families.
  • Experience in record keeping, data entry, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations, including personal care and manual handling when required.
  • Knowledge and application of Health & Safety and Equality policies.
  • Experience of lone working and team collaboration.
