Supervised Contact Worker
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Bromley to assist with the appointment of a Supervised Contact Worker on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.30 - £18.68 per hour
Summary:
As a Supervised Contact Worker, you will play a vital role in the Children's Services team by facilitating and monitoring contact between children in care and their birth families. Your primary focus is to ensure the safety and physical/emotional wellbeing of children during these visits. This role requires a high level of observation, as you will provide detailed, objective reports that contribute to the long-term planning for the child's future.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and supervise contact sessions between children, young people, and their families, ensuring that contact is a positive and safe experience.
- Maintain accurate, impartial, and highly detailed written records of every contact session, noting interactions, behaviors, and any concerns.
- When required, safely escort or transport children from their foster placements or schools to the contact venue and back.
- Ensure that contact venues (including the Royston base) are kept clean, safe, and stocked with appropriate play materials for children of various ages.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths. A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or a related field is highly desirable.
Essentials:
- Proven experience working with children, young people, or families, ideally within a social care, education, or youth work setting.
- As this is a peripatetic role, the ability to travel across the borough efficiently is essential. Access to a vehicle and a clean UK driving license is preferred.

- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
