Community Adaptations Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Community Adaptations Officer , on a 1.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £15.06 - £19.16 per hour
Summary:
The Community Adaptations Officer provides technical and administrative support for community-based equipment and adaptations services. This role is central in delivering high-quality, customer-focused services to residents, working collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure timely and effective support for residents' needs, especially those with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance to customers, delivering excellent service and maintaining a professional image
- Respond to technical and procedural enquiries, resolve issues and maintain audit trails
- Manage and validate applications, ensuring correct documentation and fee collection
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to exchange information and provide support
- Maintain accurate databases and records; follow document retention policies.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an administrative or technical support role
- Experience in a social care or health setting
- Strong organisational and planning skills; able to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management systems
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage competing demands and prioritise work
- Comfortable working in partnership with professionals and external stakeholders
- Ability to work flexibly, including off-site and extended hours as required.
