Income Collection and Dispute Resolution Officer
Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Income Collection and Dispute Resolution Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £17.95 - £22.78 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Maximise recovery of all service charge income, debts, and arrears in line with procedures.
- Submit cases to HMCS for online judgments and monitor progress.
- Identify cases for enforcement action and liaise with legal representatives, attending court where necessary.
- Provide advice on financial assistance for leaseholders, including benefit advice and referrals to debt agencies.
- Handle leaseholder enquiries regarding debts and ensure recoverability.
- Provide a full dispute resolution service, liaising across teams to resolve issues and maximise income.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of dealing with the public and providing clear advice on complex issues.
- Knowledge of service charge and major works recoveries.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and achieve challenging targets.
- Experience of referring debts to court through Online Money Judgment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High level of numeracy to calculate service charges.
