About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage payroll operations for commission-based technicians across multiple trade departments. This role requires a sharp eye for accuracy, a deep understanding of commission structures, and the ability to navigate ServiceTitan efficiently. Youll be responsible for reviewing a high volume of technician jobs daily, ensuring every completed job is aligned with the correct payroll plan and commission model. Your collaboration with managers and team members will be essential to flag and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit 250+ technician jobs daily, ensuring alignment with department-specific payroll plans.

  • Accurately process payroll for commissionable technicians in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other trade groups.

  • Interpret and apply multiple pay plans based on each departments compensation structure.

  • Identify and investigate any payroll discrepancies, ensuring they are addressed and corrected before payroll finalization.

  • Work directly within ServiceTitan to validate job completion data, time entries, and commission triggers.

  • Collaborate with department managers and internal teams (HR, Ops, Accounting) to reconcile inconsistencies and implement adjustments as needed.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally across multiple channels (Slack, email, meetings) to ensure transparency and smooth resolution.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports for leadership as required.

  • Stay current with internal policies, labor regulations, and industry-specific compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably in the home services or trades industry.

  • Strong working knowledge of commission-based pay models and performance-based incentives.

  • Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service management/payroll platforms (highly preferred).

  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially when working with high-volume data.

  • Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential financial data with a high degree of discretion and integrity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with multi-trade business operations and varied compensation structures.

  • Knowledge of payroll compliance standards and best practices.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
