Job Title: Custom Cabinet Designer (CAD / Cabinet Vision)
A U.S. based custom cabinet company is seeking a talented Cabinet Designer with strong experience in Cabinet Vision or AutoCAD to join our clients design and production team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of turning creative concepts into precise, production-ready drawings for high-quality custom cabinetry projects. This role directly supports a U.S. based custom cabinetry shop specializing in residential and commercial kitchen and bath projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D cabinet designs using Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, or other CAD software.
- Develop layouts, elevations, and shop drawings for kitchen, bath, and custom cabinetry projects.
- Prepare cut lists, material lists, and assembly details for production teams.
- Collaborate with clients, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Review and revise designs based on client feedback or site measurements.
- Adjust and customize designs to align with U.S. construction standards, site conditions, and client feedback.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and material specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and design standards related to cabinetry and millwork.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, or similar CAD design software.
- Strong understanding of kitchen and custom cabinet construction methods.
- Ability to read and create technical drawings with precision and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Drafting, Interior Design, or related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in custom cabinetry, millwork, or wood manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with design-to-production workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and visualization skills.
