About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to support a US-based commercial construction sales team.
This role focuses on reading architectural plans, conducting window and door takeoffs, and preparing accurate quotes using internal quoting systems. You will work closely with US-based commercial sales reps to convert construction drawing sets into complete window and door schedules and pricing proposals.
This is a highly technical and accuracy-driven role ideal for someone experienced with construction documents, estimating, and material takeoffs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan Reading & Material Takeoffs
- Review architectural drawing sets, elevations, sections, and schedules
- Conduct detailed window and door takeoffs from construction documents
- Identify opening sizes, quantities, mullions, special shapes, and project requirements
- Cross-check schedules with drawings to ensure accuracy
- Organize takeoff data clearly for sales team review
Quoting & Specifications
- Prepare complete quotes using company quoting software (training provided)
- Match project requirements to appropriate product lines
- Apply configurations, finishes, hardware, grids, and frame specifications
- Generate accurate quote packages for customer submission
- Maintain organized specification references and project documentation
Order & Project Support
- Enter approved orders into the system
- Process change orders, revisions, and cancellations as directed
- Update project information in CRM systems
- Maintain organized project files and records
- Escalate discrepancies or unclear details to the sales team promptly
Tools & Software
- Quoting & Order Management Software
- Salesforce CRM or similar CRM tools
- Bluebeam Revu or similar PDF takeoff tools
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
- Microsoft Teams or similar communication platforms
Qualifications
Required
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Experience reading architectural and construction drawing sets
- Experience conducting construction material takeoffs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong English communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
Preferred
- Experience working remotely with US/UK/Canadian/Australian companies
- Familiarity with US construction documentation standards
- Quantity surveying or BOM experience
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu or similar markup tools
- Window & door specification experience is a strong plus
- CRM or Salesforce experience
- Ability to work EST-aligned hours
