About the Role
Bridge is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking IDELTOnline Instructor & Academic Coach (AI-Enhanced) to join our global academic team.
This hybrid role combines the academic leadership of an IDELTOnline Instructor guiding international cohorts in our 12-week, graduate-level TESOL certification programwith the innovation-driven responsibilities of an Academic Coach, overseeing AI-assisted grading and ensuring academic quality in hybrid humanAI evaluation processes.
You will work with motivated adult trainees from around the world, provide personalized feedback, and help shape the future of teacher training through thoughtful integration of AI in academic assessment.

Main Responsibilities
Teaching & Facilitation (IDELT)
- Deliver live online sessions and asynchronous academic guidance for IDELTOnline cohorts.
- Lead discussions, foster collaboration, and maintain high engagement levels in diverse classrooms.
- Evaluate assignments using Bridges rubrics and provide constructive, individualized feedback.
- Track trainee progress and collaborate with the Curriculum & Instructional Design Lead to ensure consistent academic standards
AI Agent Management & Academic Coaching
- Supervise and manage Bridges AI agents responsible for initial grading and feedback across TEFL programs.
- Ensure that AI evaluations align with academic rubrics, program objectives, and Bridges integrity standards.
- Review, approve, or refine AI-generated feedback where pedagogical nuance or contextual understanding is needed.
- Identify patterns, anomalies, or inconsistencies in AI outputs and document insights for continuous model improvement.
- Collaborate with the Curriculum & Instructional Design Lead to optimize AI performance, testing prompts, rubrics, and evaluation frameworks.
- When required, provide targeted human follow-up to trainees, helping them interpret and apply AI feedback effectively.
- Participate in pilot projects that refine the balance between automation and human pedagogy, ensuring fairness and quality across all courses.
Requirements
- Masters degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field (required).
- TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (required).
- Minimum 2 years of ESL/EFL teaching experience (5+ preferred).
- Experience in teacher training, mentoring, or academic evaluation.
- Excellent written English and demonstrated skill in rubric-based feedback.
- Strong command of online teaching tools (LMS, breakout rooms, collaborative platforms).
- Familiarity with AI-powered educational tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, or LMS graders) and enthusiasm for educational technology.
- Professional references from similar academic or instructional roles are mandatory.

- Tech-savvy and adaptive comfortable working with evolving EdTech and AI tools.
- Highly organized and autonomous able to manage multiple cohorts and projects efficiently.
- Multicultural mindset experienced working with learners and colleagues across cultures and time zones.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within international and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent English (C1 or higher)
- Spanish proficiency is preferred.
- Commitment to academic integrity, continuous learning, and innovation.
Compensation & Schedule
IDELT Component
Per-trainee pay per IDELT cohort, including administrative compensation.
Cohorts begin monthly, with flexible live-session scheduling across global time zones.
Academic Coach Component
Begins at 5 hours per week, asynchronous and flexible, with potential to expand as AI-grading initiatives and TEFL programs scale.
Paid hourly or per assignment under an independent contractor arrangement.
General
Fully remote position aligned to Americas time zones.
Reports to the Curriculum & Instructional Design Lead and collaborates with the Teacher Experience and TEFL Teams.
