This is a full-time permanent Emergency Department RN role at a Level III Trauma Center in New Mexico, working night shifts (7P–7A) in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED environment.

The department includes 48 beds with flex capacity, using a pod system and team nursing model, supported by an on-unit educator and social worker. The patient population is highly diverse and high acuity, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, psychiatric emergencies, COPD, CHF, ESRD, and complex medical complaints.

The RN will be expected to function in a high-volume ED with typical ratios of 4:1 in main ED and 6:1 in fast track, utilizing advanced equipment and systems including Cerner EMR, Zoll defibrillators, blood transfusion systems, ultrasound-guided IVs, and point-of-care testing tools.

Key clinical expectations include competency or exposure to trauma care, stroke protocols, cardiac emergencies, sepsis management, and moderate sedation support.
