L&D RN

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our maternity care team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent Labor & Delivery experience and a strong commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using fetal monitoring and clinical assessment skills.

• Assist physicians, midwives, and obstetric teams during deliveries and procedures.

• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.

• Educate patients and families on the labor process, pain management options, and postpartum care.

• Recognize and respond quickly to obstetric emergencies or complications.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience in an acute care setting.

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

• ACLS and NRP certifications preferred or required depending on facility policy.

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies.

• Familiarity with fetal monitoring interpretation.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
