Role Description
We are seeking a highly professional and empathetic Paralegal Receptionist to support a legal team remotely. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English, with Portuguese as a strong preference, and will serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a smooth intake and client communication experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and route high volumes of incoming calls in Spanish and English with professionalism and empathy
- Take detailed messages and leave accurate notes for attorney/client callbacks
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting walk-ins and handling inquiries
- Provide support during high-traffic periods and maintain a calm, composed demeanor with frustrated or emotional clients (usually during the intake process)
- Collaborate with legal assistants and attorneys to ensure timely follow-ups
- Assist with administrative duties such as fax assignments and scheduling meetings
- Coordinate with colleagues to ensure coverage at the front desk
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications
- Strong American accent with excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) is required; Portuguese proficiency is preferred
- Candidates with trilingual proficiency (Spanish, English, and Portuguese) are highly encouraged to apply
- Must be based in Brazil, Colombia, or anywhere in Latin America
- Knowledge of legal procedures, case management, and document handling is a plus
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with legal case management software is a plus
- Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
- Background in workers' compensation required
- Background in personal injury law is a plus
Compensation: $6 to $7 per hour (Negotiable DOE)
Working Hours: Eastern or Pacific Time Zone
