Who You Are
We're looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) who thrives on creating meaningful first impressions, identifying high-potential opportunities, and setting the stage for successful customer relationships. You're comfortable reaching out to new prospects, re-engaging warm leads, and nurturing conversations that open doors to revenue.
You have the ability to listen actively, ask the right questions, and confidently guide prospects through the early stages of the sales funnel. This is a high call volume outbound role — success here requires energy, resilience, and a genuine interest in connecting with people. Persistence, professionalism, and a results-oriented mindset are the keys to success in this role.
Integrity is non-negotiable. We represent best-in-class products — getting a demo booked should be achievable without exaggeration. We're looking for agents who earn demos honestly and represent the product with confidence.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in sales development, cold calling, telemarketing, or inside sales (preferred).
- Full-cycle sales experience (start-to-close) is a strong plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across phone, email, SMS, and live chat.
- Proven ability to handle objections and turn conversations into qualified opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing leads and follow-ups through CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Familiarity with the heavy equipment industry (dealerships, trucks, machinery) is a plus.
- Strong interest in software and AI solutions.
- Proficiency in English — spoken and written — with a neutral to American-sounding accent preferred.
What You'll Do
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at CatalyzeX, you will:
- Make a high volume of outbound calls daily, introducing our client's platform and clearly communicating its value.
- Prospect, qualify, and nurture leads through outbound calls, emails, SMS, and live chat.
- Schedule qualified product demos for the client's Account Executives.
- Follow up on inbound inquiries and re-engage warm leads, guiding them toward the next step in the sales journey.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team.
- Document all interactions accurately in the CRM and maintain organized activity tracking.
- Collaborate closely with team leads to refine messaging and strategy.
- Consistently meet or exceed activity and conversion targets, contributing directly to growth.
Growth Opportunity
This role is designed as a launchpad. High performers will have a clear path to grow into a leadership or senior sales position as our team expands. We're building a small, high-performance team and expect at least one agent to step into a team lead role.
Technical Requirements
Internet connection: High-speed internet required — minimum 20 Mbps or fiber connection.
Computer / laptop: Employees must use a genuine, supported business laptop with built-in hardware security and full-disk encryption enabled. Unsupported, modified, bypass-installed, rooted, or jailbroken operating systems are not permitted.
- Windows: Windows 11 (preferably Windows 11 Pro), 2021 model or newer, with TPM 2.0 enabled and BitLocker / Windows Device Encryption turned on.
- Mac: Apple MacBook / Mac, 2020 model or newer, preferably Apple Silicon M1 or newer, running a supported macOS version with FileVault enabled.
- RAM: Minimum 8 GB (16 GB preferred)
