About the Opportunity
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a regional health system for a Director of Cardiovascular Services (DCS). This role provides strategic and operational leadership for cardiovascular programs across the system, including inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services. The DCS will be instrumental in advancing clinical quality, patient experience, and financial performance, while developing innovative care models that support excellence and efficiency.
This position is ideal for a collaborative, strategic leader with a proven track record in cardiovascular services who is looking to make a meaningful impact in a growing community-focused healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the accountable leader for all aspects of Cardiovascular Services performance.

Oversee implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a comprehensive service line strategic plan across the continuum of care (ambulatory, acute, post-acute, and community).

Partner with physicians, staff, and leadership to drive continuous improvement in outcomes, patient experience, and cost of care.

Lead development of innovative programs that reduce variation, improve quality, and optimize efficiency.

Collaborate with quality leadership to achieve high reliability in care delivery, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and guide data-driven quality initiatives.

Support provider and staff recruitment, retention, and professional development.

Maintain accountability for the service lines financial performance and long-term growth.

Model organizational values and inspire a culture of patient-centered care.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing, Nursing Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.

Licensure: Current West Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) or Radiologic Technologist license required.

Certifications:
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 3 months of hire.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience relevant to cardiovascular services, with demonstrated leadership capability.
