About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Data Center Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. This is a full-time, onsite role based at our Head Office in Khayaban-e-Amin, Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the data center environment to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of systems and infrastructure.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor data center hardware, network infrastructure, and environmental systems

• Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers, switches, and storage devices

• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability

• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures

• Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance and support

• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data center best practices

• Perform routine audits and system health checks

• Support network infrastructure, cabling, and power management

• Document configurations, incidents, and changes in line with ITIL practices

• Assist in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure support

• Strong knowledge of server hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco UCS) and storage systems (NAS, SAN)

• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)

• Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

• Understanding of data center standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute)

• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds)

• Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Ability to work in a structured, secure, and highly available environment
