About the job Senior Project Manager
Position Purpose
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, procuring and delivering the organisation's multi year capital improvement program, spanning infrastructure, buildings and amenities, equipment, utilities and safety compliance projects. The role owns each project from initial scope through design, approvals, tender, construction and handover, and reports progress to the CFO, CEO, Committees and Board.
This is a dedicated delivery role. It exists to free the CEO and the Facilities & Projects Manager from day to day project management so capital projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the standard stakeholders expect, while day to day facilities and maintenance operations continue to sit with the Facilities & Projects Manager.
Direct reports: None currently. A Contracts Administrator / Project Support role may be added in future and would report into this position.
Key working relationships: Facilities & Projects Manager, Operations Manager, external consultants and contractors. Liaises directly with the Operations team day to day on project delivery and scheduling. Line management of those roles stays with the Facilities & Projects Manager.
Committee reporting: Reports progress to the Maintenance and Planning Committees and the Board of Management.
