Business Analyst

We are seeking a contractor Business Analyst with a strategic mindset and a passion for technology to join our client's Software Development team. This role goes beyond traditional business analysis, requiring a deep understanding of the integrated environments where professional displays enhance user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions designed to maximize the benefits of on-premises and remote configuration and control. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with IoT software expertise to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution.

Responsibilities:

- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements for software projects.
- Integrated Environments Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of how professional displays contribute to user experiences in integrated environments, ensuring software solutions optimize on-premises and remote capabilities.
- Defining Success: Establish and track key success criteria for products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs.
- Process Analysis: Analyze and document existing business processes to identify areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with software capabilities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the software development team and business units, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including user stories, workflows, use cases, and process maps.
- Solution Design Support: Partner with technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs while considering technical feasibility and scalability.
- Change Management: Support the implementation of new processes or systems, including conducting impact assessments, training, and user adoption strategies.
- Agile Practices: Work within Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in validating software deliverables, ensuring they meet business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor and assess the performance of implemented solutions and recommend enhancements to maximize business value.

Must have:

- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a software development or IT environment.
• Proven track record of successful collaboration with development teams and stakeholders on software projects.
• Experience with IoT software is a must.

- Skills:

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and creating user stories.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Figma, Balsamiq or similar platforms.

Nice to have:

Familiarity with UI/UX principles and data modeling is a plus.
