Platforms & Hardware Engineer | Doha, Qatar (Onsite)

Role Summary

We are recruiting an L2 Platforms & Hardware Engineer to operate enterprise compute and storage

infrastructure — covering server lifecycle, firmware, storage operations, and virtualization.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise servers (HPE ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge, Cisco UCS).

- Operate enterprise storage arrays (NetApp, Pure Storage, Dell EMC, HPE Primera/3PAR).

- Manage virtualization (VMware vSphere / ESXi, Hyper-V) and HCI (Nutanix, vSAN).

- Apply firmware/BIOS updates and ILO/iDRAC/CIMC remote management.

- Monitor capacity (CPU, memory, storage IOPS) and plan upgrades.

- Support backup integration with the backup team.

- Document hardware inventory, configurations, and runbooks.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.

- 4+ years operating enterprise server + storage in production.

- Strong with at least one server line and one enterprise storage vendor.

- Hands-on with VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.

- Familiarity with SAN concepts (FC, iSCSI, multipathing).

- Linux + Windows server fundamentals.

- Professional English — mandatory.

Preferred 

- Working knowledge of Arabic.

- VMware VCP-DCV; vendor certifications (NetApp NCDA, HPE ASE, Dell DCSE).

- HCI experience (Nutanix NCP).

- Scripting in PowerShell or Python for automation.
