Hardware Asset Specialist | Doha, Qatar (Onsite)

Role Summary

We are hiring a Hardware Asset Specialist to own the IT hardware lifecycle — from receipt and tagging through

deployment, refresh, and disposal — keeping the CMDB accurate and supporting end-users at the asset

issuance counter.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, tag, and stage incoming IT hardware (laptops, desktops, mobiles, peripherals).

- Issue assets to end users; capture acceptance signatures and digital records.

- Reclaim assets on movers / leavers; sanitise and reissue or dispose per policy.

- Maintain CMDB / asset register accuracy: serials, models, owners, locations.

- Conduct periodic physical audits and reconcile against the asset register.

- Coordinate hardware refresh waves, RMA returns, and warranty cases.

- Support disposal vendors with WEEE / data-destruction compliance.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's in IT or related field.

- 4+ years in IT hardware-asset / inventory operations.

- Strong with CMDB / asset tooling (ServiceNow ITAM, BMC, Lansweeper).

- Familiarity with ITIL v4 asset-management practices.

- Solid documentation discipline and attention to detail.

- Native or fluent Arabic AND professional English — non-negotiable.

- Currently in Qatar OR willing to relocate within 45 days.

Preferred / Nice to Have

- IAITAM CHAMP / CAMP certifications.

- Experience with secure-erase / data-destruction tooling.

- Bar-code / RFID asset-tagging programs.
