Software Asset Specialist

Role Summary

We are recruiting a Software Asset Specialist to own end-to-end software license management — discovery,

entitlement reconciliation, optimisation, and audit readiness for enterprise software estates.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate the SAM tool (Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow, USU) for discovery + reconciliation.

- Maintain entitlement records: contracts, true-ups, true-downs, renewals.

- Run effective-license-position (ELP) cycles for major vendors (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe).

- Identify optimisation opportunities (right-sizing, harvesting, edition changes).

- Prepare for and respond to publisher audits.

- Liaise with procurement, finance, and IT operations on license events.

- Maintain documentation and SAM playbooks.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or equivalent.

- 4+ years in software-asset / license management.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe licensing models.

- Hands-on with one major SAM tool (Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow, USU, or equivalent).

- Familiarity with discovery sources (SCCM/MECM, Intune, Tanium, Lansweeper).

- Strong Excel + reporting skills.

- Professional English — mandatory.

Preferred / Nice to Have

- Working knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

- IAITAM CSAM / CHAMP / CITAD certifications.

- Cloud licensing (Azure, AWS, M365 E3/E5) optimisation experience.
