About the job Enterprise Architect, Doha, Qatar (Onsite — Client ISD office)
Role Summary
We are hiring an Enterprise Architect to define and govern enterprise architecture across the client's Information Systems Department. The role aligns IT to business strategy, owns architectural standards, and chairs the architecture review board.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture across business, data, application, and technology domains.
- Author and govern reference architectures, technology standards, and architectural patterns.
- Chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB) — review and approve solution architectures.
- Lead the technology roadmap definition aligned to the client's digital strategy and Qatar Vision 2030.
- Conduct architectural assessments, gap analyses, and modernisation studies.
- Govern architectural compliance across major projects.
- Drive cloud strategy, integration architecture, and security architecture decisions.
- Author and present architecture to C-level stakeholders, including Director-ISD.
- Provide architectural mentoring to solution architects and senior engineers.
- Govern vendor selection from an architectural fit perspective.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems; Master's strongly preferred.
- 12+ years' experience in IT architecture, engineering, and design.
- TOGAF 9.2 or 10 Certified — mandatory.
- 5+ years' experience in EA leadership at a large organisation (>5,000 users).
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS or Azure), security architecture, and integration patterns (API-led, ESB, EDA).
- Demonstrated track record of EA artifact delivery — current state, target state, transition plans.
- Native or fluent Arabic AND professional English — preferred (not mandatory).
Preferred / Nice to Have
- TOGAF Certified Trainer or BIZBOK / DAMA-DMBOK certification.
- Vendor architectural credentials — AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Cybersecurity architecture credential (SABSA, CISSP-ISSAP).
- Prior EA tenure in Qatar government or large public-sector entity.
- Familiarity with Qatar Digital Government Authority frameworks.
