About the job NOC Engineer L2
Role Summary
We are recruiting L2 NOC Engineers to operate a 24x7x365 Network Operations Centre monitoring a large
enterprise estate (network, compute, storage, cloud). Engineers work rotating shifts, perform first-response on
alerts, drive incident triage, and escalate to L3 when required. Work is dashboard- and ticket-driven; Arabic is a
plus but not required for the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor infrastructure health (network, compute, storage, cloud) via NOC dashboards.
- Acknowledge, triage, and respond to alerts within agreed SLAs.
- Perform first-line troubleshooting on network and infrastructure incidents.
- Open, update, and close incident tickets in the ITSM tool with high quality notes.
- Execute documented run-book procedures for known incident patterns.
- Escalate complex/unknown incidents to L3 with clear context and timeline.
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and run-book improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent.
- Industry certifications: CCNA (mandatory), CCNP preferred. JNCIA also accepted.
- 4+ years in a 24x7 NOC, NMC, or network/infrastructure operations role.
- Hands-on with at least one major monitoring platform (SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios).
- Familiarity with ITSM ticketing (ServiceNow, BMC, Jira SM).
- Professional English (written + spoken) — mandatory.
- Willing to work rotational shifts (days/nights/weekends/holidays).
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Arabic (any level) is a plus, not a requirement.
- ITIL v4 Foundation; AWS/Azure cloud awareness.
- Linux or Windows server fundamentals (Linux+, MCSA, etc.).
- Scripting basics: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
