About The Role:

The role will assist with project planning, governance, implementation and evaluation to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives. An understanding of the One Defence Capability System is required as well as the ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop or update project documentation including, but not limited to:
  • Project Execution Strategy
  • Project Management Plan (PMP)
  • Sustainment Agreement
  • Risk and Issues Management Plan
  • Workforce Plan
  • Support to FIC and risk reduction activities.
  • Support to Commercial activities, business case development, and Independent Assurance activities.
  • Review all projects documents as required
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are need to work with our Army Headquarters partners to ensure that project outcomes are achieved.

About You:

  • Preparation of project documentation, briefs, correspondence and reports including submissions and documents for higher delegate and committee consideration.
  • Work collaboratively with other project team members and stakeholders, including below the line contactors and other Defence agencies.
  • Manage work tasks that align with the projects strategic objectives and communicate expected outcomes.
  • Engage, negotiate and sustain working relationships on complex issues to understand and influence the stakeholder requirements, including operational factors
  • Capable of taking the initiative for achieving outcomes, progressing work, reviewing team and project performance and focusing on identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Build and sustain productive working relationships to enable effective transition of the project through the One Defence Capability System
  • Forecast, plan and manage a range of human and physical resources
